No Greater Love

The wind will take you further than the current will hold you back.

While dragon boating in Charleston, our Steersman made a profound statement..

He said "the wind will take you further than the current will hold you back".

I know I have a choice...I can ride on the winds in life and let it take me to my destiny and purpose or I can allow the current to keep me held back from what God has for me.

The wind is the very breath of God taking me out to those deep waters where my Soul is refreshed and my Spirit is renewed in the wisdom and knowledge of Him. Cancer, sickness and disease, is the current that has tried time and time again to come against me and hold me back from God's plan and design for my life.

This steersman does not know the seed he planted...he was simply offering instructions of paddling a dragon boat but what the Holy Spirit had me hear was instructions for moving my life forward.

What I Don't Know Can't Hurt Me

While resting this morning and reflecting on how faithful my God has been to me, I thought about all of the messes He brought me through just simply because He loves me. I know about the cancers that had invaded my body and I know about the cancers that had invaded my life but what about all the cancerous stuff He spared me from that I don't even know about.
I realized a long time ago that it is not that I know Him but rather that He knows me and He goes before me making crooked ways straight. If He never did another thing for me, I still owe Him my life. As I have been pressed on every side, my God has lifted up my head towards Himself and has showered me with unexplainable peace.
So those things I know of and those I don't, can't hurt me - He has settled them in Heaven.

Livestrong Upstate SC Dragon Boat Team Charleston

The Dragon was Awoken....

At the Charleston Dragon Boat Festival this weekend, we came in fourth in our division and second with best tee shirt design out of 51 teams.

There were some real heavy weights in this race like The Citadel, a team of Marines and The US Coast Guard and even though the "Vikings" were the overall winners, we believe "Victory" was really ours as we know what it took for us to cross that finish line.
